The West Hempfield Township Police Department said this morning it is experiencing problems with its phone system.
Chief Mark G. Pugliese said callers to the police department today haven’t been able to hear the office staff in some cases.
The chief said callers who need help and can’t get through to West Hempfield police should call 911 in an emergency or (800)-957-2677 in a non-emergency.
Pugliese, in a news release, said the department has contacted the phone company and its private vendor, which are looking into the problem.
